Interior design focuses on style and function (e.g., Mid-Century Modern), while Feng Shui adds the energetic dimension. A chair may look beautiful and be comfortable, but if it blocks the main doorway, it also blocks the flow of opportunity. I combine both—classical Feng Shui principles with modern, biophilic (nature based) design—so your space feels balanced and looks inspiring.

The Three Blessings are Good Fortune (Fu 福), Prosperity (Lu 祿), and Well-being (Shou 壽). They represent the foundations of a good life and are the inspiration for my practice. They serve as guiding stars—every consultation is designed to bring more of these blessings into your environment and daily experience.

No. Feng Shui is not a religion—it’s a Taoist-inspired practice of living in harmony with natural forces. Anyone can benefit, regardless of beliefs.

Some clients feel a shift immediately (like calmer energy after clearing clutter), while others notice gradual changes as life begins to align with their intentions.

Bonsai trees are living art, and like all plants, they carry Qi (life energy). In Feng Shui, their meaning depends on how they are cultivated and placed. A Wu Wei approach (effortless natural action)—listening to the tree and enhancing its natural direction—brings harmony. Forcing a bonsai into shapes that restrict or distort its growth, however, can symbolize constrained energy and would not be Feng Shui.

When chosen and cared for with respect for its natural growth, a bonsai becomes a powerful reminder of patience, balance, and the flow of life.

Feng Shui supports your intentions, but it’s not a quick fix. Real change often begins with self-reflection and personal growth. What Feng Shui can do is align your environment so it nurtures the qualities you’re cultivating—whether that’s openness to relationships, clarity in decision-making, or readiness to welcome prosperity. It creates supportive conditions, but your actions and mindset complete the process.

No, there is no definitive scientific evidence that Feng Shui works. 

A systematic review published in the National Library of Medicine (PMCID: PMC10558748 ) found some measurable associations—such as Feng Shui features correlating with higher housing values and improved comfort in buildings—especially in areas of strong Chinese cultural influence.

The authors note that culture and belief play an important role in these outcomes. Like religion, which cannot be “proven” scientifically yet remains deeply meaningful to millions, Feng Shui’s value does not depend solely on laboratory proof. As described in Lynne McTaggart’s The Field, research into the Zero-Point Field points to a universe where matter, energy, and consciousness are deeply interconnected—an idea that resonates with the Taoist view of Qi.

For now, Feng Shui continues to offer insight, guidance, and harmony in daily life, while modern science works toward catching up.

A consultation is a process that usually unfolds over several weeks, with a series of meetings—typically 90 minutes to two hours each. The number of sessions depends on your space and goals. Each consultation continues until we’ve developed a personalized roadmap that truly supports your intentions.

In Step 1 of the consultation process, I gather information about you and your space. You’ll provide a simple floor plan (hand-drawn is fine), complete a brief intake form, and share your goals or challenges. Photos of your space are also very helpful. Yes. In Step 6 we set a time for a follow-up meeting to ensure the recommendations are effective, make any adjustments, and address any ongoing questions or address new changes in their lives or space.  Follow-ups are great way to measure how your space continues to align with your goals.  See the whole process.

Yes. I serve Southern Utah in person and travel regionally by arrangement. Virtual consultations are available anywhere.

Feng Shui works very effectively for renters and those who lease. Many adjustments focus on placement, color, and energy-clearing practices that don’t require permanent renovations. Even larger changes—like light fixtures or wallpaper—can be done with “renter-friendly” products designed to be easily removed when you move. This means you can enjoy the benefits of Feng Shui without worrying about making permanent changes.
